I just wanted to write to thank you so much for helping us navigate this (quite stressful) undertaking for us at this stage in the publishing life of Little Door Books. Imago have been wonderful, allaying my fears, answering my silly questions, and looking out for us by getting us a good deal so that we have been able to complete the task financially.

Imago has been an incredible partner. It’s never just printing; it’s about the right paper, process, and colors. When I created the coffin-shaped box, your team helped refine the concept beyond what I imagined. I’m grateful for our collaboration and truly honored by the success of The Ghastly Lenormand.

We’re feeling proud at Imago today! The Rocks Book by Nancy Dickmann has been shortlisted for the 2025 The @theroyalsociety Young People’s Book Prize.
This book takes the reader on a quest around the globe, examining the huge range of rocks that lie beneath our feet. With help from specialist consultants, it was carefully researched and packed it with facts and curiosities.
Our in-house team was involved in every detail:
Artwork management, editorial, design, picture research, project management, right through to briefing artists and working closely with the author and clients.
A huge congratulations to Nancy and to everyone who put their heart into this project. 💛

🖤 Black and white printing: a classic… but not so simple!
This Halloween, we wanted to share a little production secret: printing in black and white isn’t as easy as it seems!
A black that’s too dense, a grey that’s too light, a support colour that’s too dominant, or an unbalanced four-colour black… and the whole mood can change in an instant.
Paper choice is just as crucial: it needs to enhance the black tones, keep every detail sharp and clean, and prevent smudging. In short, a real challenge… but one we love to take on!
The result? Elegant, timeless projects that elevate the design and add a touch of mystery to every book, game, or card set.
At Imago Group, we love bringing ideas to life. That’s what our Imago Create team does every day. We take a spark, maybe it’s a fun activity, a board game, a sticker book, or even a plush toy – and turn it into something people can hold, read, play with, and enjoy.
Here’s how we work:
We start by 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂. Your brief is our starting point, and then we brainstorm ideas that really fit.
Our designers and editors 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 with sketches, layouts and final artwork.
We make sure everything reads well and is 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁.
And we stick with you through every step: design, paper engineering, project management, so the project gets 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁.
Whether it’s a new concept or a fresh take on an existing idea, we’ve got the experience, the talent, and the energy to make it happen.
𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 for inspiration – and drop us a message when you’re ready to get started.
🎲 When you’re creating a role-playing game, you pour your heart into the story, the characters, the world… but there’s another piece of the puzzle that can make all the difference: how the game is produced.
At Imago Group, we’ve seen firsthand how the right materials, finishes, and design choices can turn a good game into an unforgettable one. Here are a few tips from the production side👇
🎨 From the rulebook to the cards, every design element should feel like part of your world. When it all fits together visually, players feel instantly immersed.
🧩 How the materials look and feel in hand matters. A sturdy board, smooth cards, and the right finish can make players want to come back to your game again and again.
📖 Great design should be as beautiful as practical. Make sure fonts are easy to read, and layouts help players stay in the flow of the game.
📦 The box is the first thing players see and touch. It needs to set the tone, so make it sturdy, striking, and satisfying to open.
✨ The adventure begins the moment the box is opened.

🍁 3 Creative Trends We’re Loving This Autumn 📚✨
Every season brings fresh inspiration, here are three trends we’re spotting everywhere right now (and having a blast producing!):
🎨 1. Printed Edges
They’re not going anywhere — and honestly, we’re glad! From bold colors to detailed illustrations, edges have become a real design feature. Just a tiny detail that completely transforms a book.
📕 2. Cloth Covers
There’s something timeless about fabric. Cotton, linen, viscose… each one has its own texture and personality. Add a touch of foil, embossing, or a matte finish, and suddenly a book feels extra special.
🧩 3. Sticker Books
Big with kids — and secretly just as fun for adults. Behind the playful vibe, there’s serious craft: the right papers, clean die-cuts, repositionable stickers… tricky to make, but such a joy to bring to life.
