Hardback Book with Jacket Project | Oprah Winfrey – What Happened to You?

Imago were delighted to be involved with the production of this stunning hardback book with jacket, What Happened to You?: Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing, written by Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Bruce Perry.

Alongside this hardback/casebound book, we also produced a wonderful paperback edition too. The book is currently enjoying a 6 week run on the New York Times Bestseller list for Non-Fiction.

The Production

The cased edition, shown in this article, is bound using an untextured imitation cloth, wrapped with a 4 colour jacket with embossing and lamination to the underside to add strength.

The contents are printed in 2 colour on uncoated paper and a paperback edition was produced at the same time, both editions with full FSC Chain of Custody.

Manufacturing & Shipping

On this occasion, at the customer’s request, the books were manufactured simultaneously in two different locations, China and Italy, to ensure the fastest possible worldwide distribution.

We were able to secure the best cost and schedule in Italy by printing using a web press.

Project Overview

The brief for this hardback book with jacket project included both high-quality printing and finishing, plus efficient turnarounds on delivery and distribution, all whilst remaining environmentally conscious throughout.

The client wanted both hardcover and paperback book editions produced in locations that would have quick turnarounds to the highest standards, as well as to meet their global distribution need.

A Collaborative Project

Imago are experts in delivering book and print production for the mass market, because of our ability to print and produce books to the highest quality with the customer’s needs remaining of paramount importance throughout.
