Commercial Key Accounts / Sales Manager Vacancy

The Role

Based in our Paris Office, reporting to the Commercial Director for France, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, either existing or new, in publishing and associated sectors.  This is a pivotal role in the organisation and we are looking for a commercial lead, who will build and maintain strong relationships with customers.

Main Responsibilities
• working with the Commercial Director, you will define and deploy the commercial strategy 
• research and develop new customers and accounts with high potential
coordinate with the team across accounts
• account management
• regularly reporting on sales activities

Key Tasks
• working proactively with customers
• preparing quotes via internal software
• interacting with group purchasing offices or suppliers directly, depending on the product
• taking orders, transferring these to the production teams and monitoring progress

Candidate Profile

  • commercially astute
  • experience of at least 3-5 years in a manufacturing or commercial publisher or graphics industry; supplier-side experience would be advantageous; excellent knowledge of the publishing market and the various players (customers, competitors, trends); Asian market experience
  • advanced technical knowledge of the various manufacturing processes for printed products  (books, packaging, metal, fabric, etc.); knowledge of CE standards and toys and shipping supply chain
  • adaptability and a willingness to learn
  • able to work autonomously while having a good team spirit, multi-tasking
  • interpersonal skills, dynamic, rigorous, reactive, engaged, creative, resilient under pressure
  • English imperative (read, spoken, written) – including technical English in print
